Q: Are the Muslim countries doing anything about the Israeli air strike?
I heard Egypt said it's holding Israel responsible for every Palestinian death, but thats not really helping anyone, and it doesn't look like they're opening up the borders anytime soon. What are the other Muslim countries doing?

Q: Why are non-muslims treated so badly in muslim countries?
For example, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Middleeast etc and why do muslims in the west not seem to care. The numbers of non-muslims in muslim countries is in sharp decline whereas the number of muslims in the west is sharply rising. CC - that is the dumbest answer i've heard so far, all parts of it. correction, joint prizes to you and ymoham3 Janian - if ever there was a prize for putting words into someones mouth it would go to you. I also love your comparison of the deep south to the whole of the middleast. Lot's of headchopping going on their? why don't people GOOGLE IT before saying it is false!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A: Are ALL of non-muslims treated badly? sure there is SOME individuals, but i don't think all of them face that all and some isn't the same, i believe most of non-muslims live in peace in the middle east countries, they should speak about themselves and their lives, do you see any non-muslim in gulf countries complaining?

Q: If the West developed an alternative energy source, should we seal our borders to hostile Muslim countries?
There is some talk in the think tanks that it would be a good idea to: 1. Develop an alternative energy source. (we can and will do it someday) 2. Deport all Muslims who preach violence. 3. Leave all Muslim countries. 4. Close our borders to any further immigrants from Muslim countries. Would this be a good idea?

A: It is an excellent idea. Develop alternate energy? It can be done and probably already has. Deport all Muslims Period. Leave all Muslim countries of course Close our boarders Period. If in l973 we had told the Arabs to drink their oil we would not be in the mess we are in now. It would have been as simple as planning ahead. The Traitors who engineered the compliance to fill their pockets should have been shot. If anyone believes there is ever going to be a peaceful coexistence with any Arab country they also believe in The Tooth Fairy. For the most part Arabs=Muslims. Muslims would kill every infidel=us. Therefore we must make a decision=them or us. It is way past time that we must face reality. Now is certainly not the time to turn the other cheek.

Q: Muslim in the Western countries, do you get Eid Mubarak as a public holiday?
If not, why not ask for it. Get the Westerners recognize our holidays. Afterall it is a holiday in the Muslim countries, the Westerners can't do international trade with us; in fact non-majority Muslim country like Singapore do recognized it as a public holiday. Keeping it real, Go ahead, buff your ars all year round & get only Christmas as a holiday. Here in KL, we are having public holidays for almost all religion here, to a total of15 public days per year!

A: No. Muslims are in Western countries are minorities that represent less than 10% of population in any case. Most minority festivals aren't public holidays. Singapore has its history behind it, after all, it was formed when Chinese deceived the Malays to support their break-away from Malaysia. And don't forget it is caught between Indonesia and Malaysia... In my humble opinion Malaysia is suffering loss with recognition of Christian, Buddhist, Hindu and Chinese holidays as public holidays. All financial institutions are closed on those days, so imagine the financial loss. And lately Malaysia has witnessed big manifestations of arrogance from the side of non-Muslims, namely Chinese and Hindus. It would be smart for Malaysia to clip the wings of their local Chinese before the Chinese topple the government, which they would certainly do if they only had sufficient sources and international support. I don't mind our holidays not being declared public in the West, I don't want the non-Muslims to congest the roads like they do in Malaysia. When I was there I had to rush from my office to the nearest mosque, and the roads were packed with Chinese drivers, and these are simply rude - the worst drivers I have ever seen. The only thing I would propose is a legal provision that obliges employers to give their Muslim employees a 3-day paid leave for Eids. Currently we depend on the mercy of our bosses if we want to have days off for Eids and Fridays, but most of them are quite understanding. It makes no sense asking for making Eids public holidays, it won't happen in the near future. Edit: mind that Jewish holidays are public holidays only in the US; Europe and Australia don't recognise them.

Q: In muslim countries apostasy in Islam is punishable by death. Why civilized nations are silent about that?
In most of the muslim majority countries, apostasy in islam ( leaving Islam) is considered a serious crime which is punishable by death. see in the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apostasy_in_Islam Why people of the civilized nations ( europe, america) are silent about that?

A: There are a lot of things punishable by death in Muslim countries. It probably has a lot to do with oil. If we say "your laws are bullshit, stop being barbaric idiots!" they would probably cut off our oil supply.

Q: Muslim Countries were shelter for Jews when they were oppressed in Europe, Is that how they return the favor?
Muslim Countries and Ottoman empire provided a shelter for Jews when they were hated and oppressed in Europe, Is that how they return the favor? By occupying their countries and slaughtering their children? and insulting their religion by promoting twisted facts about Islam and depicting them as terrorists? Helen E: I've seen you give this same answer to a lot of threads before, the truth is you don't have any logical answer to give English knight: The Ottoman empire fall was in 1914.. Jews were oppressed in Europe even before WW1 and the Ottoman empire and Muslim countries provided for them a shelter at that time.. For your last comment about Ottomans not Muslims indicates that you need strong lessons about Muslim empires and middle east history thin lizzy: In my computer I have a lot of pictures of innocent infants and entire families massacred by your beloved Zionists, shall I email them to you or would you consider this Anti-semite and jew bashing too? bart s: Don't you consider occupying a people's land and stealing their properties an attack? EDIT: Palestine refers to the region between Egypt and Jordan since the roman times, and I will list for you the myths the Zionist propaganda tries to spread: Myth: Jews bought the land of Palestine and founded Israel on it. Fact: Jews owned only 7% of the land of Palestine in 1947 at the time of the Partition plan vote in the UN. That plan was to give for the Zionist state 54% of the land. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Mandate_of_Palestine#Land_ownership_of_the_British_Mandate_of_Palestine Myth: Jews are returning to their original home which has historically belonged to them: Fact: Jews have ruled major sections of Palestine for less than 10% of the time in the last 5300 years. They were a majority for even a shorter period. See (Hatem) answer below about history of Palestine with references confirming the fact. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtQ28Nf0d0IH7yGEcaHB3MPty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20081115213955AA10gCZ&show=7#profile-info-XfTZyKT0aa Myth: Muslims have been in war with Jews over Palestine for thousands of years. Fact: Muslims and Jews never fought over Palestine before the 20th Century. Actually Jews have historically sought refuge in Muslim controlled lands to escape Christian persecution in Europe. The Israel-Palestine conflict is a 20th Century problem. It was started by the Zionist movement (which is a secular Jewish movement that started by a group of European Jews at the end of the 19th Century). See (Hatem A) answer below (with references): http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AnHTUCpWs1.vr79F.cyhwx7ty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20081026105807AAzGQLW&show=7#profile-info-m0Mt8RKJaa

A: Only continuing resistance and struggling will free your lands, Hamas and Hezbollah alone are not enough, Arab states must unite to get rid of the Zionist danger.. This is the only logic that works but if you expecting them to return you the favor you must be an irrational thinker

Q: What keeps Muslim countries, Away from the unity?
Muslim countries are not united. Agree or Disagree? Why or Why not?? I need serious answers please. Hope: sister, if muslim countries are united then Saudi Arabia, being one of the richest country, how is it helping in other muslim countries? Pakistan, Iraq,Palestine? I mean what actions are they taking against the rivals?? I may be uneducated about it, so make me understand please~! Also not only Saudia but also other countries, may be Pakistan should help Iraq, but its not.WHY?

A: its pretty obvious we are not united (as countries) the last country left with the khalifah was turkey, which was abolished by the U.K (through "Akaturtuk" aka mustapha kamal) the so called western "hero", after that, everyone else pretty much fell, its mainly because the leaders are corrupted and ask the u.s for help while they should be asking Allah s.w.t, people have left islam, hypocrisy has become common, which is why most muslim nations have corrupted and/or puppet leaders heres a breif video on the history http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6a6x9PDhqo Muslim countries united can defeat any country, because Allah is with us, and victory comes from Allah.

Q: A question about Israeli Arabs and visas to Muslim countries?
1) About 20% of Israelis are Arab. Many of those are Muslim. There are also many Palestinians that work in Israel too. 2) Some Muslim countries (Such as Syria, Malaysia, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia) do not allow Israeli citizens or those with Israeli stamps in their passport to have visas for their country #####So how do Muslim citizens of Israel get visas for these countries??? Most important how do they get a visa fopr Saudi Arabia to do Hajj, (since this is a requirement for all Muslims)???####

A: The position of Israeli Arabs is really sad. They are kind of stuck in a no man's land between two worlds as both sides look at them with suspicion. Most Arab countries won't issue them visas on the Israeli passports except for certain circumstances like the case of Azmi Bshara who visited Syria presumably on an Israeli Passport. Unfortunately as Israeli citizens they can not get Egyptian or Jordanian (or other countries') travel documents. Since such documents are issued according to international law relating to the refugees issues mainly. Palestinians living in exile get this type of travel documents. On the Israeli side they are not treated as equals to their Jewish compatriots they are denied many rights. As for their position regrding Hajj and Saudi Arabia I really can't give you a clear Answer. I really do not know. Palestinians from the West Bank, Gaza Strip and east Jerusalem who work in Israel, hold the new Palestinian Authority Passport issued by the PA as agreed on in the Oslo Accords. Those Passports are accepted in All Arab countries including Saudi Arabia. They are not Israeli Nationals therfore they do not hold Israeli passports. Edit to paperback: I guess you should be a little bit more realistic concerning the position of the Israeli Arabs. What you say won't change the facts. Just try to google "Israeli Arabs" and maybe you'll see beyond your restricted biased view. Any way just to be of some assisstance I'll quote from the Or report which was compiled by a commission presided by the Israeli Judge Theodore Or following the riots and Killing of 12 Israeli Arabs by the IDF in 2000: "Government handling of the Arab sector has been primarily neglectful and discriminatory. The establishment did not show sufficient sensitivity to the needs of the Arab population, and did not take enough action in order to allocate state resources in an equal manner. The state did not do enough or try hard enough to create equality for its Arab citizens or to uproot discriminatory or unjust phenomenon. Meanwhile, not enough was done to enforce the law in the Arab sector, and the illegal and undesirable phenomena that took root there." http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/pages/ShArt.jhtml?itemNo=335594 So why are you trying to be more royal than the king, I understand that you are not Israeli so why deny something even the Israeli government openly acknowledges??? I hope this settles this issue once and for all. One more last thing, You call the action of Jews leaving Europe to Israel immigration, return or Aliya. But Jews doing the same from Arab countries you call it being "Kicked out"? Can you explain the difference between both please noting that in most Arab and Moslem countries you still have a minority of Jews who chose not to leave including in the Iran of the Ayatollahs. What would you have said if the Arab countries refused the immigration of their jewish minorities to Israel, for the obvious reasons?... Ah don't bother I can already imagine the fuss you would have done about of it. Any way please make a little search about Jews in Moslem countries and get some information about the subjects you talk about before raising them... it will just save us a lot of time and typing, you know rumors and one sided views of a story are not viable sources of information.

Q: Why do some muslim countries force women to dress a certain way?
Are some (not all) muslim countries living in the dark ages? I mean seriously forcing women to dress in all black dresses only showing their eyes or be beating in public? (btw if you choose to wear that then w/e but forcing someone to wear that?!) They look like clones or something from the matrix.

A: Ok beating is not allowed in Islam. Women are not sex objects and are not cattle. Islam uplifted women and gave them their rights 1450 years ago while Europe was still in the Dark Ages. Women in America didn't get their rights until the 1960s and they had to fight for them. Just 40 years ago it was legal for a man in his 20s+ to marry a girl as young as 11 in the USA. Women didn't get the right to vote in the USA nationwide until 1920! The pagan Arabs used to bury infant girls alive because a girl was seen as a shame upon the father and she was considered a burden. Men in pagan Arabia used to marry their daughters off against their will. In the USA and Europe women could not have property or rights to children. They were treated like vermin and were to be seen, not heard. God does not want women and men to be sex objects. The hijab is not a choice. It is an obligation upon every female Muslim. See Sura 24 and Sura 33 in the Qur'an for more information. Muslim women cover to protect their modesty and chastity. Women in the USA think it is freedom to dress in revealing clothing and be sexualized in TV and on billboards and in fashion magazines which in turn go to young girls in homes throughout the USA causing girls to think of themselves as "not pretty" or ugly or fat. From the time a girl is born in the USA she is taught that looks matter and every day is bombarded with sexual images in movies, on TV, on billboards, in music, from models who are super skinny, and even in books! How is this freedom? By allowing men and women to intermingle with each other outside of marriage and blood they are putting themselves in harm's way and men will take adavantage of them and rape or kill them. It is a well known fact that the object of a man's desire is a woman's hair and face. I agree forcing is not allowed in Islam. It's against God. But think about this. Would you rather your sister, your daughters, your nieces, your mother, your wife, or another female blood realative to dress in revealing clothing and get teased and harassed by strange men or would you rather her be all covered in modest clothing and known as a righteous woman? By covering up her beauty a woman is showing a man that she is a human being and a person with feelings not a sex object for men to lust after because men and women in the USA listen to the devil and can't take the time to lower their gaze when around the opposite sex. Women are the jewels of men in Islam. The men in Islam are only trying to protect their women from being raped or harmed.

Q: When will the US elect a female Prez whereas the 3 largest Muslim countries in the world already did ?
Indonesia, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, the 3 largest Muslim countries on earth, all have democratically ELECTED female Prime Ministers/President/head-of-the-government in the recent past. The question then arises - Are the Muslim women better than the US women ? Or are US women discriminated against ?

A: 2008 - Hillary will take the place. However, we are not a Muslim country and we'll fight to keep a man in the office! -)
