Q: What role can a non-muslim father play to help his muslim daughter get married?
I am a muslim, and i am trying to get married. I am aware that a non-muslim father cannot be the wali of a muslim daughter, but since he is her mahram, what roles can he play?
A: u should ask imam about this , in the nearest mosque ,
and if ur father is colobrative with u, i see he has big role, he would welcom the groom or his family with u and u can give him just a picture position out of respect , even if he is not ur wali as u said , thats is if ur father agrees to do that

Q: How much time is allowed before a Muslim deceased must be buried?
I used to live in Indonesia where if I remember correctly, the deceased must be buried within 12 hours. Is this a written Muslim law or does it vary from one Muslim country to the next? Thank you!
A: ► The body must be buried as quickly as possible due to specific health-like reasons. The body is also washed beforehand.
► When a death occurs, it takes no more than a day to bury the body.

Q: How come Christan to Muslim conversion stories are real, but Muslim to Christian stories are often made up?
Some people claim to be ex-muslim who turned to Christ but it's usually easy to see that the person is a protestant christian who was never muslim to begin with (eg. they often mispronounce/misspell basic arabic terms). The majority of conversion stories I've seen so far are pretty easy to identify as fake. How come this odd behaviour?
A: I notice the same thing sometimes. People claim to be Christians who were once atheist or Muslim or what have you when it is obvious that they are fundamentalist Christians who are lying.
I am not sure why they do this. It is probably very similar to when they claim to have seen miracle healings happen in front of them, or the same reason that people will spout utter nonsense and claim to have talked in tongues.
It is either conscious deception with the belief that it is for a good cause, or they actually believe the lies they tell.
Q: Why don't the muslim women start a revolution and demand more rights?
What will it take for muslim women to start a revolution against an oppressive religion that totally controls their lives? Why don't the muslim women rise up and stand up to the men that dictate how they should dress and live lives in general. I would love to see a revolt by all muslim women.
Hey Dina, don't tell me to shut up ! I live in America, where I can speak my mind.
A: Did you know that in Islam:
A mother (who's obviously a WOMAN) is given a status higher than the father (a man).
- - The Quran elevates kindness to parents (especially mothers) to a status second to the worship of God:
Your Lord has commanded that you worship none but Him, and that you be kind to your parents. If one of them or both of them reach old age with you, do not say to them a word of disrespect, or scold them, but say a generous word to them. And act humbly to them in mercy, and say, “My Lord, have mercy on them, since they cared for me when I was small.” (Quran, 17:23-24, see also 31:14, 46:15, and 29:8)
(2) Naturally, the Prophet Muhammad specified this behavior for his followers, rendering to mothers an unequalled status in human relationships. A man came to the Prophet Muhammad and said, “O Messenger of God! Who among the people is the most worthy of my good companionship?” The Prophet said: {Your mother.} The man said, “Then who?” The Prophet said: {Then your mother.} The man further asked, “Then who?” The Prophet said: {Then your mother.} The man asked again, “Then who?” The Prophet said: {Then your father.}"
Not to mention that there's also hadiths stating that paradise is under the mother's feet. Meaning if you want paradise, look under your mother's feet: if she is pleased with you than by God's will you will be admitted; However, even if you did a life of goodness, and your mother is displeased with you, then you will not see paradise until she forgives you.
+Plus Muslim women are veiled because Islam recognizes the value of women and in order to protect them the Allah decreed that women should cover up their adornment.
This first of all, makes society purer, and saves women from being treated as sex objects (as u can clearly see in today's society).
WHERE can you find PEARLS? In a SHELL, under the SEA.
WHERE is a ROSE? Surrounded by THORNS to protect it from being touched.
These are the valuable things found in nature. Not to mention Gold, is dug along with other precious gems. So naturally Islam keeps it's valuable treasures safe too ;)

Q: How do you feel about Hussein Obama apologizing to Muslim terrorists for the way America has treated them?
He got on a Muslim television network and apologized to all the Muslim terrorists for the horrible way Americans treated them after 9/11. How do you feel about him apologizing for you?
A: One word
DISGUSTED!!!!
Q: How does a Muslim think about God? Can a Muslim have a personal relationship with God? How important is prayer?
I am doing a course in comprative religions, and need some answers, from a practice muslim perspective.
A: Prayer in Islam, is worship of Allah the Almighty, Praising and Thanking Him, acknowledging His Sovereignty and committing oneself to obey and remember Him at all times. It is the central part of a way of life, which is based on submission to the Owner of all.
The Muslim must seek to remember Allah at all times. He must be mindful that everything he is, everything he does, everything he knows and understands, is due to the Mercy of Allah. In acknowledging this, he remembers the fact that death lies in wait and he does not know when he will depart from this worldly life.
Five times a day, he stands in prayer. Focusing all his thoughts on the Creator. He praises, thanks and acknowledges the Greatness of Allah and seeks His forgiveness. His sins pass before his consciousness and render him humble before the Majesty of the One who owns all things, including the Day of Judgement. He stands, conscious that Allah Sees Him at all times and that in prostration he is the closest to His Maker.
The Muslim realizes that the Angel of death could be behind him at any time, that Jannah (Paradise) lies on his right and the fire of hell is on his left. The truth of his actions and their consequences are unknown to him and as he prayers, his heart is moved by sincere intent to strive harder, work more, study more, forgive more and share more.
He comes out of the state of prayer, feeling renewed; more determined to use what remains of his time in the most beneficial way. An angry shout or unkind word, stops on the same lips that recite the Qu'ran and remembers Allah. Hands reaching forth in greed and hate, retreat to find better solutions. Hasty careless words, dismal thoughts and attitudes disappear beneath the light that shrouds the mind of the one who prays because of their love and fear of Allah.
Q: How do I learn to be a good wife to a muslim man?
I want to know what impresses muslim men and what a good muslim marriage is.
A: there are a thousand books out there that can help you, sister! but i wouldn't advise you seeking the answer to that on yahoo answers...
i think it's wonderful of you to want to be a good wife to your husband. and muslim marriages hold in high regard the same qualities that other marriages hold: faithfullness, trust, opennes, honouring the relationship, respecting each other, helping and supporting each other, not judging the other and always putting each other first.
you should get a book on the roles of men and women in islam. try not to look for advice on the internet because anyone with half an ounce of knowledge can open up a website and post fatwas on the net. try to get to an islamic bookstore. you will get very differing views on the internet, but basically, an islamic marriage is about respecting and loving one another... it emphasizes gentleness and softness when dealing with each other and commends obedience and compromise from both sides.
as for impressing your husband? i think nothing impresses them more than when their wife honours the marriage, like not flirting with other men or being unfaithful. they say in islam that a man's honour is his wife, and that's what they mean. if a man's wife is of loose character then the husband has no honour...
good luck!!
Q: How to tell my Muslim father about my white boyfriend?
I'm a 26-year-old Muslim woman and I have never introduced a boy to my father. I been in a serious relationship for 4 months now and I think this is the right one. How can I introduce my boyfriend to my non-muslim white boyfriend? My dad is not too religious but he's a but conservative when it comes to men.
A: Just tell him the way you told us:)
Just say you really think he's the one, and that he's very important to you, if your dad really loves you then he will understand.
I mean it may be hard at first but you have to tell him some time.
Good Luck!
Q: How difficult is it to get Israeli citizenship if you're a muslim?
If a muslim (non-arab) wanted to live in Jerusalem would that be difficult? Do you need to learn Hebrew? Whats life like for muslims of Jerusalem? I know Israel has accepted Bosnian muslim refugees before, so what is their life like? Do they live with the Arabs?
A: Go to the nearest Israeli Consulate and ask there; however, as a non-Jew you are not entitled to automatic Israeli Citizenship.
Q: What is the fascination with Obama and the Muslim religion?
Why do people call him a Muslim, and think that the word is an insult? What’s wrong with being Muslim? He’s not, but if he were – is that a problem? Not everyone that believes in the Muslim religion is bad. There are extremist in every religion. What’s the issue?
A: Last time I checked we were at war with the terrorists (not Muslims), oh and a completely random country that our previous great leader invaded.
There are more Muslims in the world than there are Christians. I dont think one is better than the other. There are great people in both religions, and not so great ones...as seen by some of the posts here on yahoo.
Q: Can a muslim step father be the wali of a muslim step daughter?
Can a muslim step father be the wali of a muslim step daughter, if he lives in another country, and she is no longer under his care, and her biological father is a kafr? Or must she find another wali, such as an imam?
A: Peace...
If the girl is a step daughter then he will always remain the step father. However, she must maintain her hijab infront of her husband as the step father is not blood related. And No he is not a wali for the step daughter merely because of blood.
Yes she must find an imam as a wali (for marriage etc) and cannot use her step father or father (who is non-muslim) after all the wali has to be muslim and blood related..
Peace
Q: Life of a Muslim during the first crusade?
I have to write a journal as if I was a Muslim during the first crusade. I have to write about the Crusaders, the attack on the city, etc. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks alot!
A: One thing for sure...Muslims enjoyed much more safety, wealth, advanced technology and knowledge, plus more freedom and human rights...compare to Europeans at the time. Yes, the crusade disturbed the Middle East, but most of Muslims(Persians, Turks) didnt even care about the crusade
Q: How does being Muslim disqualify one from becoming president?
Cite your constitutional source.
By the way, no major candidate is a Muslim. I'm asking this in a hypothetical situation.
A: It doesn't disqualify you from being President. Listen everyone knows that Obama isn't some muslim sleeper cell trying to blow up the country. Some people are just using that lie to cover up their racism and hatred toward black people.
