Q: Quick && Easy Ways To Perform Islamic Prayer &&Wudhu?
Quick && Easy Ways To Perform Islamic Prayer &&Wudhu!!
Because in my family I'm kinda late for learning how to do my prayer. (I'm 13) Not just because of that everybody in my dad side of the family makes fun of me and uses me as an example to their younger children. Like, "Look at her she 13 and doesn't know how to do her prayer!!" So I would appericate if you could help me learn how to perform of Islamic prayer.
A: It is your family's fault; it is their responsibility to teach you. If they make fun of you, that is not right, and maybe they should do something about it instead of just laughting at you. I just prayed 5 minutes ago :) I'm surprised your family hasn't taught you how to do Wudu..I'll give you the order, but I'm not 100% sure if the way it is performed is different for women, and your family should have no problem helping you with that.
This is in order:
Hands
Mouth
Nose
Face
Arms
Hair
Ears
Neck
Feet
Prayer is way too complicated to explain on the computers, but I'm sure other Muslim brothers and sisters can aid you because I starred it. Good luck, I have faith in you!
Q: Islamic prayer. Is it the best way to pray?
NOTE: IM AN ATHEIST.
Personally, I know that all prayer is worthless, but Islamic prayer is an interesting subject. What many people dont understand is that Islamic-prostate prayer ritual is the key to their brainwashing processes.
The act of meditation or "prayer" is a proven technique in terms of relaxation and control over processes previously believed to be "autonomic".
Buddhist monks or "Yogis" have proven, under scientific scrutiny, that these techniques can be employed to lower the heart rate beyond what was previously thought to be within ones control.
So, we know that mediation and prayer can create various feelings, which can be used by religions to create a "spritual" environment for which a clergy can claim a "divine source".
No religion on earth does a better job of leveraging this mediation effect, for its own sake, than Islam. Islam saturates a Muslims life with it by making it a mandatory 5 times a day exercise.
Furthermore, under Islam, Muslims pray in tightly packed, gender separate areas, which adds to the isolation and focus on the religion itself.
Islam does a fantastic job of making its sheeple associate the daily feeling of prayer with the righteousness of the religion.
Thus, Muslims are content to recite the Quran, as a Wizard might recite a spell from a spell book. Theres no need to question what "feels so right".
A: I know you don't believe in the power of prayer, but I do, only not the way Muslims pray. It's an act, for show (especially if you whack your head and leave a mark - the sign of a pious Muslim) and "earning" your way to Paradise. One Muslim put some references to the Bible in, as if those point to what Muslims do. They don't. In most of those cases, the prophets fell prostrate for being in the presence of God. It wasn't a demanded, rehearsed, or a memorized ritual. It was natural. That's how prayer should be, natural, from your heart, filled with emotion. I believe meditation is different, does need more experience, concentration and has more of a physiological aspect, as you pointed out. How can you communicate with God if you are too busy worrying about getting your movements right, recitations correct, not passing gas or yawning, starting and finishing in the amount of time allowed, and whacking your head (there are many other rules to islamic praying)? Doesn't sound relaxed, spiritual or natural to me. It also goes against the way Jesus told us to pray, so the islamic way cannot be the best or even right.
EDIT: You need to allow email sometimes. What happened to your question about Steven Curtis Chapman's daughter? Were you violated?
Q: islamic prayer for converts?
How should I go about practicing praying, if I am in process of converting and beginning the teachings of Ramadan, prayer, Halal, etc.
I understand prayer and anything islamic is utterly serious in the eyes of Allah. And anything should be taken carefully. Especially "noob's" - but if its simply prayer that Im trying to get into.
Does this site look like its enough to enlighten me in terms of what to do. Or should I wait, goto a temple, find a priest, and be more casual about it.
i plan on doing the latter eventually. But I desire to get into prayer soon.
Any tips? Should I give that website a try?
http://www.islamicfinder.org/prayer/index.html (this is website)
Thanks, God Bless.
A: O congratulations!!
Muslim's prayer place is called a Masjid or Masaajid(pl).
The leader of the Masjid/mosque is an Imaam(leader). And all Imaams are not Sheikhs(scholars).
Islamicfinder.org is good for the timings of prayer and the prayer program is also pretty good.
there are several sites for learning prayer. here is another one http://understand-islam.net/site/ and go to Salaah Program. It also teaches how to make wudu/ablution before prayer and also the prayer.
It is best to get started as soon as possible. So if that means from the internet, then let it be the internet. And also ofcourse it is always easier when watching someone do it and following him/her. And also, just for knowledge know that for male and female there is no difference while they make the prayer.
And I don't know if you already know... but when you take the shahaadah/testimony of faith, after that you are to take a bath. And then make wudu and you can get started on your prayers right away. If you are taking the shahaadah infront of some people, or a masjid or just in a chatroom, they would probably tell you that time what you have to do anyways.
Please feel free to contact me if you need more informations or any help.
Q: Was Islamic prayer created under a "flat earth" assumption?
Islamic prayer ritual involves bending over towards a fixed spot on earth (Mecca, Saudi Arabia). Obviously such a practice makes more sense under a flat earth conception.
A round earth presents the problem of three dimensional confusion. After all, just what direction is a Muslim to pray if he/she happens to be polar opposite to mecca on a round globe? Should the Muslim pray "into" the earth thus making a straight line through the globe into Mecca?
Clearly the Mecca-prayer ritual was created under a flat earth viewpoint. The Quran echos this belief in many verses. For example:
Quran 20.53 "He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out;” http://www.usc.edu/schools/college/crcc/engagement/resources/texts/muslim/quran/020.qmt.html
Quran 15:19 “And the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon mountains firm and immovable; and produced therein all kinds of things in due balance.” http://www.usc.edu/schools/college/crcc/engagement/resources/texts/muslim/quran/015.qmt.html
EDIT: Maybe we should identify the precise place on earth polar opposite to Mecca and name it "THE MOST CONFUSING SPOT ON EARTH FOR MUSLIMS".
ACTIONS FURY: A round object can be made flat and a flat object can be made round...but that doesnt mean a flat object is round or a round object is flat. Follow?
By the way...what are you "furious" about. Why are so many Muslims "furious"? Does the phrase "ACTIONS FURY" make sense?
ALLIUMTU: Apparently you dont understand the issue. If your polar opposite to Mecca, there is no right direction. All are equal in distance and there is no right direction thus Muslims cant be sure if they are facing the right way.
The "polar-opposite" problem doesnt exist under a flat earth view because with a flat earth you only have two dimensions and thus theres always a right direction.
A: I wouldn't be surprised if most Muslims actually believe the world is flat. Muslims are notoriously uneducated. They force their children to memorize long winded tracts of a primitive old book of nonsense sayings and stories. They whip them if they don't remember it. Muslims encourage their children not to think, just to remember verses from their stupid holy book. It is a truly ghastly religion that should be shown no mercy or tolerance.

Q: Why did Obama say: Call to Islamic prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.”?
According to NY Times, On March 6th 2007, Senator Obama said: Call to Islamic prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.”
Why did he say this? This is scary
