Q: Islam Religion?
I don't know if this question had been asked already but here i go? so it state in the Islam religion that, Islam man are promise 72 or 75 virgin at their disposal, does that go for women also? i mean when the Islam women die, are the women going to have 72 or 75 virgin at their disposal? If not, WTF what are Islam women rewards after this life.?

A: the 72 virgins are mentioned in Hadith (Islamic Tradition) by Al-Tirmidhi and thats the problem with islam today the Quran can be translated the way you want and people get confuse between Hadith and Quran not all muslims agree on the same hadith but yes there are some muslims who believe in the 72 virgins thing specialty those who are fighting for a cause and the clerics have to put something in their mind lets say... it is exacly when the Crusaders used to say if you go fight for Jerusalem all your sin will go away the problem with islam is not in the Quran but in the Hadith because it is so backward with all my respect (im not anti-islam in fact i am born from a muslim family so please dont take it as im attacking islam as most people do on the internet)

Q: What does the Islam religion believe in?
I am looking up something, and alot of the countrys study Islam religion. I am wondering what Islam people or whoever study it believe in.

A: Ok, we know we don't create each other and we don't come to this world from nowhere because when we die we must be going somewhere as well, hence there must be God, if there were many Gods, they would have fought over what to be created and what not to be, probably over who to die and who to live at the same time... so it's gotta be one God... if that God created us then there must be a reason... could we figure it out on our own? God made it easy and sent us messengers and prophets to show us the way and tell us why... so all the messengers and all the religions are from the same only God, so they've got to be complementary to each other, not opposing each other!!! then God must have said His final words in the last message, what is the last message? and how do we know it's the last one? I guess that would be the religion that believes in all messengers and all books equally... is there such religion? actually yes, Islam does :) A True Muslim (man or woman) gets his reward for obeying Allah's orders (Allah means The God in Arabic) by going to heaven, where he/she are indulged forever in all the good things that were on earth and more, things no one ever dreamt of or heard about. The Holy Quran tells Muslims (men and women) there will be good food, good wine and sex in heaven for all, but not in the bestial way you may think of, but rather in a way that is satisfactory for everyone and better than what was on earth. Heaven is no heartbreak or injustice land. True Muslims are no terrorists, and Islam never calls for that, Islam means peace, it bans violence unless you were fought so you fight back, it only doesn't require Muslims to be cowards, and true Muslims understand this very well and never attack civilians. Islam is the only religion that accepts freedom of religion and asks men to treat women gently like queens. It's all in the Holy Quran and the right teachings of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). If some people behave otherwise, then it's because people behaviour doesn't necessarily reflect the rulings of their religion always, for example, we can't (and don't) judge Christianity by Hitler or Madonna. And that is another reason why there is heaven and hell after we die, heaven for the obedient and hell for the disobedient and/or oppressor, it's all going to be decided on the day of resurrection and judgement. To be a Muslim, you must believe God is only one with no spouses or offspring, believe in his angels (servants not males or females), believe in all his religions, messangers and books equally, the day of judgement, heaven and hell and that everything is in God's hands and because of his will (good or bad). Muslims believe God is the only divine who never dies, the creator who deserves to be worshiped, all prophets who came to earth are human messangers sent by him. Muslims don't deny christianity, judaism, Jesus or Moses. They believe in them as the noble prophets and messangers of God, love and respect them so much. We believe the birth of Jesus (messanger of God) was a miracle from God to us, being born by a mother only and with no father. God is the creator, he can do anything. We believe Jesus (peace be upon him) is NOT dead till today; he wasn’t even murdered or crucified as most people think. God (most glorified) made the man who betrayed Jesus be killed instead by switching their looks for a moment. Jesus was left up to live in heaven until the end of days when he will come back to earth again, with no new teachings or messages but just to make justice prevail instead of oppression, fight the imposter who will claim to be God and (most important) to perform his last prayer with the Muslims announcing he's too a follower of the last prophet (Muhammad) as all people should... then he really dies like other Prophets and be buried (peace be upon them all). So we're waiting for you Jesus, Messenger of God, to bring the world peace and pray with us. That’s what prophet Muhammad told us and this is what I believe in, I’m a Muslim so how do we know it's true? what is said in the last message and what should we do? read the following, and you'll figure out for yourself:

Q: What do you think about the religion Islam?
I am a Christian. I have researched a lot on different religions, I'm 17 and so far the only religion makes sense to me is Islam. What's your opinion on this? What do you know or think about Islam?

A: How could you research Islam and come away with the idea that it makes sense??? Do YOU think you should shut up and be obedient to your husband? Do YOU agree with the imam choosing your husband for you if your parents aren't Muslim? I knew this girl, Kara. She had the most beautiful hair and I always told her so when I went to grab a few groceries at the corner store where she worked. One day she started to wear a hijab. She said she thought it looked cool and she liked Muslim men with black hair and black beards. (Ugh, I loathe hairy faces) Well, before I knew it, she converted to Islam and then disappeared. Nobody knew what had happened to her. For two years I never saw her again. Then one day, I see that gorgeous hair and I called her and she told me her story. She had joined the Muslims and the women took her in and said they were looking for a nice husband for her. She was only 18! She said they showed her a picture of this guy from Tunis and within three weeks he arrived in Canada, married her and set up home in an apartment. She said from day one, he didn't work because he didn't have a work visa but since he was married to a Canadian woman, he could collect welfare. She said he was home 24/7 and all he wanted to do was eat, sleep and have sex. She said it wasn't "making love." It was - she got all her clothes torn off her and he did his thing and rolled over and went to sleep. She got pregnant right away. She wanted to visit her mother and ask about being pregnant and other things but he forbid her. She asked his "pernmission" too many times to see her mom and that guy laid a beating on her that she thought she was going to die, She was terrified of him. None of the other Muslim women helped her but told her to be a good wife and to "submit to her husband." Finally, one day, when he was out, she called her mom because she missed her. He came home and caught her talking to her mom on the phone. He beat the crap out of her and later, she miscarried in the toilet. He refused to take her to the hospital. Instead, he blockaded her in the bedroom and told her if she came out, he had the right to kill her. She was a western girl though. She waited until he went to the bathroom and she ran out of the bedroom to the phone and called 911. The police were there in five minutes to arrest him because when he came out of the bathroom he beat the crap out of her and the police broke the door down when they heard her screaming. She said she left him, she never went back and she got him deported. Think about whether you want to risk going through that.

Q: What is the more violent religion Islam or Christianity?
In my opinion I think that Islam is much more violent than Christianity. When the Danish cartoons came out hundreds of thousands of muslims protested and they even burnt down the Danish embassy in Syria. We see A lot of criticism to Jesus all the time but you don't see all these Orthodox Christians rioting in the street or burning down embassies. That combined with all the terrorist attacks in the name of Allah and that many of the Muslim priests actually preach violence against Jews and Christians makes me wonder if Islam is really a religion of peace as Muslims say.

A: Nether religion is violent if followed in the way they should be. But overall, Muslims are (currently) more violent than Christians.

Q: is Islam a religion of peace and tolerance?
then why do many muslims feel bad when their religion is offended or attacked but they feel it's corrected to say christians and jewish are not Ok because they don't follow mohammad.. I couldn't find tolerance from islam to other beliefs.. and even there is not tolernace among muslims.. it seems sunni muslims want to impose their beliefs over the rest of muslims no? what's happened with that statement that islam is peace and tolerance?

A: Islam is a Religion of Peace. "then why do many muslims feel bad when their religion is offended or attacked but they feel it's corrected to say christians and jewish are not Ok because they don't follow mohammad." Where did people get the idea kill all infidels? That is ridiculous no where in Islam does it say this. In fact it is a sin to kill any innocent person no matter what religion they be! Islam is constantly attakcked throughout the media as being a religion of hate which is not true. Secondly where does it say in Islam that a Christian or Jew is bad. In Islam it is forbidden to force somone to follow Islam. It is also a sin to discriminate against other religions. Now there are good and bad people in every religion that impose different views upon the world, but that is a problem in every religion not just Islam. "Believers, Jews, Sabaeans or Christians - whoever believes in God and the Last Day and does what is right - shall have nothing to fear or regret”- The Holy Quran Prophet Muhammad - “Feed the hungry and visit a sick person, and free the captive, if he be unjustly confined. Assist any person oppressed, whether Muslim or non-Muslim.” Prophet Muhammad - “God hath not created anything better than Reason, or anything more perfect, or more beautiful than Reason; the benefits which God giveth are on its account; and understanding is by it, and God's wrath is caused by disregard of it "If anyone killed a man person, it would be as if he killed all of mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved all mankind."- The Holy Quran Prophet Muhammad - “The ink of the scholar is more holy than the blood of the martyr.”

Q: What religion besides Islam and Judaism, believes in God but does not believe that Jesus is God?
I'm looking for a religion that is based similarly on the morals of Christianity but I just have a hard time believing that Jesus rose from the dead and is a trinity with God. Are there any other religious options out there besides Judaism and Islam who do not believe that Jesus is God?

A: Depends on how loose one's interpretation of "Christian morals" is. There's a lot of evidence pointing towards Zoroastrianism being the origin of Judaism, and Christianity is subsequently founded upon Jewish principles and tradition. However, the Golden Rule ("Do unto others as you would have them do unto you") is present in many major faiths such as Bahai and Buddhism. Another religion you may wish to look into is Rastafarianism, it's an interesting offshoot of Judeo-Christianity. EDIT: Oh, and Islam. I can't believe I forgot that one!

Q: How can you possibly call islam a peaceful religion?
What happens to a person who makes a joke, uses humor or writes a negative book about islam? What happens to a person who questions that religion or chooses not to participate? The answer to all those questions is the person will be put to death. To me that is total dictatorship and an authoritarian form of rule. So how can any one say that islam is a peaceful religion? These are not speculations. Remember Salomon Rashdi? He wrote a negative book about islam and there was a bounty on his head. Try being a non believer in Iran, Iraq and others. See how long it will be before you are stoned or beheaded. I am not a muslim!! I do not subscribe to any religious affiliation. Black bird: Very well said. Extremely intelligent comment. You got the best answer in the bag! :)

A: All religions are founded on war... Peace has never been, that is why we have a naturel belief in a supreme deity who promises peace. The world is governed by man but even in the myths of the gods there is war amongst them, and if we come from them then... Don't ask yourselves why there is such a thing as war. I don't advocate it but it's there and man alone is not in power to bring peace, that is why we need God or Allah or whoever. Then again their own stories are filled with war and destruction... You raise a valid point only it's not just Islam. And by the way in parts of the world it is against the law to change religion or else your severely punished or put to death. Not to long ago Christians themselves were burning people at the stake for not sharing their beliefs. All religions were founded on war and hate so it boggles my mind that people are that naive to try and push this gullable idea that religion is about peace. The faith of one person is the abolition of another person. Religion is carefully planned institution that feeds on the lives of people who are to week to think for themselves.. Religion is full of hate and propaganda, they all preach peace but they all kill for murder and profit, it's disgusting and I doubt God himself is proud. I'm not an optimistic, I'm a prisonner of hope, hope that there will be peace... But faith in a religion guarantees conflict and God is God, he's not religion...

Q: How are married women in the Islam religion treated?
Are there certain restrictions? How are women treated by their spouse and viewed as by other people?

A: First off, I'm gald you asked this question. There is a lot of misunderstanding that Islam demoralizes women, when in fact, that is not the case. Ignorance is passed down between people that know nothing of the religion and links are provided to mostly biased material (yes second poster I am speaking to you). As a Muslim woman, born and raised in the US and currently living in a Muslim country by free will, I will tell you this, I am respected. At work and at home with my husband, I am respected. I am a well off business woman who takes time out for her prayers and such and never have I been persecuted for being a woman. In fact, there are MANY Muslim woman who are taking such giant strides in society, that it's amazing, such as Queen Rania of Jordan and the Late Benazir Bhutto. The main reason women are usually portrayed in Islam as always being beaten and such is because most of these things done are based on CULTURAL beliefs and have no basis in Islam. This is a form of "jahiliyah" or ignorance. To justify wrong doings by reading one line from the Qu'ran itself is a sin. The people who hurt, murder, abuse, etc. women are the ones who bring their culture before religion. I recommend the following as a resource and hope that it may clarigy anything else: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women_in_Islam

Q: What is the symbol for Islam religion called?
They symbol I am thinking of is a moon and star.

A: this moon and star was only introduced in the the last couple of centuries, it was never there before. and it only represents the tradition of seeking the crescent to identify the start of the month of fasting Ramadhan I am not sure what was the original symbols used on banner I remember reading something can be sure what those were, I need to look it up!

Q: Is Islam the only religion in the world which has an important influence on politics?
Is Islam the only religion in the world which has an important influence on politics?

A: Christianity has had a huge influence on the world's politics. I'd argue that it's influence has been much greater than Islam's throughout history. And much more violent than Islam.

Q: Why do you believe that ISLAM is the right religion?
If you have ever doubted your faith, what made you beieve, that out of all the world religions, that Islam is the right one? The fact that all the Quran's in the world are exactly alike is a miracle indeed. And that has definitely been a proof to me that Islam is the correct religion. What about you?

A: As salaamu 'alaikym warhmatullahi wabarakatuh, my brother. Insha'Allah, after having studied the Tenakh (Torah), the Pslams and prophetic scriptures of Judaism, the accepted and rejected Christain scriptures, most of the world's major religions and then having read the Holy Qur'an, I personally found how Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala, was trying to reach me and what He was trying to teach me. Alhumdilallah! The concepts of social justice, human equality, a common wealth social system that takes care of all people in the society, a theology that is simply, direct and understandable and the directions of how to live ones life that promotes health, mental well being and a true spirituality that encompasses the entirity of ones whole life, insha'Allah, I knew I had found the Turth. At first it all seemed to fit too perfectly and I tried to deny and reject it by employing rationalism and itellectualism however, such can often lead one away from the truth as well as it may be used to lead one to the Truth. In the end, insha'Allah, I returned to the Truth and the reality that is Islam. Alhumdilallah! When one adds the lived example of the Prophet Muhammad, salaahu 'alaihi wasalaam, as the same is demonstrated in the Sunnah al Hadiths and the biographies of the Prophet, salaahu 'alaihi wasalaam, then one has a life system presented that corrects the many wrongs of the world. It is my personal prayer that all who and sincerely seek the Truth, who do so with earnest effort while being open to the inspiration of Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala, will accept the Truth they are led to by the Mercy and Compassion, Generosity and Love of Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala. Ma'a salaam.

Q: Why ISLAM is the final religion and Quran is the final book?
I think between ABRAHAMIC religion the final religion is islam. what do U think?

A: Nope, the Mormons came later. And I'm pretty sure there are some Abrahamic religions after them as well.

Q: is there anything in the Islam religion that has to do with animal sacrifice, specifically dogs?
I don't mean to offend anyone, I'm just trying to clear up a misunderstanding between a couple of neighbors.

A: I had a neighbor that was Islamic. He would come over, but he wouldn't touch any of my dogs, let alone sacrifice them. Touching a dog is a dirty thing to them. Just like pork is dirty to them and it was also dirty to the Jews. These are not animals you sacrifice to a God you love, in their eyes anyway. But, lock up your cows and sheep. j/k, If they are of the true Islamic faith they will steal nothing from you for their sacrifices. If an Islamic kills a dog he would do it because he thinks it a nasty animal. More than likely he would do it in a way he wouldn't have to touch the animal, like shooting it or poisoning it. If you have a rash of dog deaths from these methods, you should contact the police immediately. Good Luck

Q: What path did the Islam religion take when it began?
Since it stems out of Judaism, did they become Christians..who then believed in the prophet Mohammed, who then became what we today call Muslims? Or did they not become Christians, and simply believe that Jesus was a prophet? If so, what did they do in the meantime while waiting for Mohammed? I am so confused, lol.

A: Originally they were neither Jews nor Christians; they were moon worshipers. Hence the sickle moon in their symbology. ~

Q: What geographic region did the religion Islam begin in?
also what are laws and rituals associated with Islam? oh I got the first one Mecca Arabia but what Laws are associated with Islam?

A: Islam began in the Arabian cities of Mecca and Medina (known as Yathrib back then). Aside from the five pillars (faith, prayer, fasting, charity and pilgrimage), Islam also has dietary laws (i.e. what can and can't be eaten) and purity laws (like Judaism, how to make yourself spiritually 'clean' for prayer and other worship). It also has detailed laws detailing with societal issues such as personal status (e.g. marriage, divorce, inheritance), criminal justice (e.g. murder, stealing, adultery) and warfare.
